Desde sua estréia em 1999, a série animada indicada ao Emmy “UMA FAMÍLIA DA PESADA” (”Family Guy”) atraiu um grande número de leais e devotos fãs e se tornou uma das séries mais vendidas em DVD nos EUA. Devido ao grande sucesso, a Fox volta a produzir a série que retorna com novos episódios em sua 5ª temporada.

Criada e produzida por Seth MacFarlane, a série mostra a irreverente vida de Peter Griffin (voz de MacFarlane) e sua nada comum família de classe média. Lois (Alex Borstein) é a adorável esposa de Peter, que luta para manter o mínimo de normalidade em sua casa.

E há os três filhos deles: a adolescente de 16 anos Meg (Mila Kunis, “That ’70s Show”), que só pensa em fazer plástica nos lábios e conseguir um par para o baile de formatura; o garoto de 13 anos Chris (Seth Green, “Buffy, a Caça Vampiros”), que é preguiçoso por natureza; e o pequeno Stewie (MacFarlane), um bebê de apenas um ano com uma mente diabólica que só pensa em dominar o mundo.

E rondando a casa da família Griffin também está o cachorro falante Brian (MacFarlane), que prefere seus martínis à sua ração para cachorros, e é o mais intelectual da família.
